Water pump on the 3.5 and 3.7 V6
Several Lincolns with Ford's 3.5- and 3.7-litre V6, including the MKX, MKT and MKZ, were part of a class action over the water pump, which sits inside the front of the engine. A failing pump can leak coolant, sometimes into the oil.
Battery setup after a new battery
Like many Fords, many Lincolns monitor the battery with a battery management system that should be reset after a new battery, so the car charges it correctly.
Rear brakes
Many Lincolns have electronic parking brakes. Rear pads need service mode first, and we do it every time.

No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer or dealer can't deny your warranty coverage just because maintenance or repairs were done by an independent mechanic. Keep your receipts. Repairs the warranty itself pays for still go to the dealer.
